Metals:
Cast Iron - suitable for most non-corrosive applications; i.e., water based slurries, oils, lubricants, neutral waste materials.
Stainless steel - suitable for most corrosive applications except strong acids; acceptable for most food applications except those in the dairy industry.
Elastomers:
NBR - nitrile butadiene rubber "Buna-N" is a wear resistant material that is suitable for most water or oil based materials, aliphatic hydrocarbons, dilute acids, aniline hydrocarbons, liquid propane, mineral oils and asphaltine crude oils.
FPM - fluoroelastomers are resistant to gasoline and alcohol, most hydrocarbons, diester oils, halogenated solvents. Do not use on ketones or amines.
